No Data Collection
RipTune does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, audio files, or browsing history to any remote server. Everything processed by the application (Downloads, BPM extraction, Key analysis) happens exclusively on your local machine.
Chrome Extension
The RipTune Chrome extension only communicates with your local instance of the RipTune desktop application. It does not track your browsing habits or send data to any third-party services. It only identifies media content on the active tab when explicitly triggered by the user.
Third-Party Services
We do not use third-party APIs for audio analysis. The application uses open-source libraries (Essentia, yt-dlp) that run locally. The only external connection made is to check for application updates via GitHub, or if you explicitly use cookies to bypass platform rate limits.
Cookies & Storage
The website uses minimal analytics (Vercel Analytics & Aptabase) to count page visits and downloads. No personally identifiable information is tracked. The extension uses local storage only to remember your preferred settings.
